This pendant is hand fabricated in 14k yellow gold square wire with a 5.5mm dyed black freshwater pearl.
This is a very simple but elegant pendant. It measures 21.8mm in length. The metal design is made from a continuous piece of 14k square wire, twisted and looped to create the design. The pearl is considered a freshwater potato pearl. Potato pearls are not perfectly spherical. All dark freshwater pearls are dyed to achieve the color, and I tested these dyed pearls out on my family for quite some time before I would use them in my work. I am confident the dye is permanent. The black freshwaters have almost an iridescent quality to them, looking anywhere from greenish to purplish depending on the light.
