This pendant is fabricated from 14k yellow gold round wire and features an 8mm round checkerboard cut lemon quartz. The pendant measures 22mm in overall length.
This pendant is all about loops and swirls. It has a really delicate, airy sort of feel, which I think works really well with the color of the gemstone. Lemon quartz is in the same family as citrine quartz, simply being a slightly different color. This particular stone is called a checkerboard cut. Typical faceted stones are cut with an octagon in the very center of the stone, and kite shaped facets radiating out from that octagon. Checkerboard cut stones have rows of square facets all across the top of the stone, creating a different pattern of reflection that is very sparkly.
