Ametrine is a funny gemstone- it's not all that rare to find it in nature, but you really don't see that much jewelry made from it.  Ametrine is quartz that displays both the amethyst and the citrine coloring.  It's one of my personal favorites, and I wear an ametrine ring I made several years ago. I get so many comments on it that I wanted to add ametrine to my body of work, and that's when I discovered just how hard it is to find nice ametrine cabochons!  A friend of mine went to the Tucson gemshows, and after much hunting, brought me back a couple of nice pieces.  This gemstone is from that trip.

This pendant will ride nicely on a standard chain, as well as fitting up to a 6 millimeter omega chain.
